1.6523 / 20NiCrMo2-2
DIN 1.6523 / 20NiCrMo2-2 Steel is an important alloy steel which is close to 1.5810 steel. The 20NiCrMo2-2 steel has half of the Nickel content and added a small amount of Molybdenum element. DIN 1.6523 steel also improves the content of Manganese,so it has better hardenability and strength than 18NiCr5-4.

Quenched and Tempered (+QT) of DIN 20NiCrMo2-2 Steel
1. Heat 1.6523 steel slowly to the temperature of 850°C;
2. Soak at this hardening temperature and quench in oil;
3. Temper as soon as 20NiCrMo2-2 steel reach room temperature.
4. Heat uniformly to the suitable temperature;
5. Withdraw from the furnace and cool in the air.
6. The usual tempering temperature is 200°C which also depending on the actual requirements.
Applications of W-Nr 1.6523 Steel
20NiCrMo2-2 steel is usually used in the manufacture of automobile,tractor engine and the gear transmission system. DIN 1.6523 steel is also suitable for high performance carburizing and carbonitriding components,such as oil drilling tools.
